Mary (Scott) Maynard Moore
1937—2025

Mary (Scott) Maynard Moore, age 88, of Inez, passed away Nov. 20, 2025, at Highlands ARH in Prestonsburg.

Born Oct. 6, 1937, on Rockhouse Fork of Pigeon Roost in Martin County, she was the daughter of the late Walker and Reba (Dye) Scott.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Harvey Maynard and Arthur Moore; one daughter, Loretta Lynn Moore; and siblings, America Moore, Pat Jude and Willis Scott.

Mary is survived by one son, Jason Maynard; her siblings, John Scott (Laura Fulks) and Nada Scott; one granddaughter, Ticia (Shaun) Sweeney, and one special great-granddaughter, Cherokee Sweeney, who was her world.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025, in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home in Inez, with Tom Dials and Randall Lowe officiating. Burial followed in the Jude-Fletcher Cemetery in Pilgrim. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
