James R. ‘Wormy’ Johnson
1956—2025

James R. “Wormy” Johnson, age 69, of Tomahawk, passed away Oct. 30, 2025, at his residence.

Born July 27, 1956, in Martin County, he was the son of the late Robert and Geneva (Howard) Johnson.

In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his wife, Louise (Moore) Johnson, and two sisters, Glendene Rainwater and Norm Mahon.

Survivors include his daughter, Tina Johnson of Ohio; one grandson, Curtis Ward; three brothers, Glen Johnson of Inez and Harold Johnson and David Johnson, both of Tomahawk; and three sisters, Hester Johnson and Wanda McCoy, both of Tomahawk, and Lisa Howell of McDowell.

A private graveside service will take place at the Johnson Family Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
