Clyde Stanley Jr. (‘Junior’)
1953—2025

Clyde Stanley Jr. (“Junior”), 72, of Beauty, went home to the Lord peacefully Oct. 26, 2025, in Lexington.

Born Oct. 13, 1953, he was the son of the late Clyde and Nizey (Sammons) Stanley.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Johnny Stanley and Ernie Stanley.

Junior retired from the Martin County Water Department where he served his community for over 20 years. He was a faithful member of Gospel Light Freewill Baptist Church where he played guitar and sang for the congregation for most of his life.

Survivors include his son, Shane Stanley of Beauty; great-nieces Kaylee Stanley and Donna Adkins, both of Beauty; brother Wendell (Oreatha) Stanley of Beauty; sisters Joyce Stanley of Beauty, Lois (George) Farra of Delaware, Ohio, and Estelle (Ronnie) Akers of Columbus, Ohio. Junior is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews who each held a special place in his heart.

Funeral Services took place Friday, Oct. 31, 2025,  at Gospel Light Church with Pastor Rodney Brown officiating. He was laid to rest at the Perry Cemetery in Beauty. Mullins Family Funeral Home of Warfield is honored to serve the family.
