INEZ — Martin County football standout Crayson “Bones” Lafferty received his first official college offer this weekend from Midway University.

The Cardinal senior visited the scenic Midway campus earlier this season and impressed coaches with his performance on both sides of the ball.

Lafferty, known for his defensive dominance, currently ranks fourth in Class 2A with 12.1 tackles per game and is second in solo tackles with 57 on the year. He has totaled 427 career tackles and counting.

Lafferty’s work ethic makes him one of Kentucky’s top two-way players.

On offense, he continues to shine as a dual threat. Lafferty sits 18th in rushing, averaging 86 yards per game, and 14th in scoring with 10 points per contest.
