INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s Office reported the following arrests:

Blake Jessie Spaulding, 22, of Kermit, W.Va., was arrested Tuesday on Evans Hill in Lovely on resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of marijuana. Deputy John C. Kirk stopped Spaulding, who was walking in the roadway around Evans Hill on Route 292. The deputy says Spaulding was acting nervous and said the officer could check his bag. Kirk found two bags of crystal-like substance and four bags of marijuana. Kirk says Spaulding tried to run as he was being cuffed.

Zachary Delong, 26, of Debord, was arrested Monday in Pilgrim on possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Deputy Kirk responded to a call of possible child abuse on Maynard Flats. Upon arrival several people were on the scene. The officer said when he patted down Delong, he discovered a crystal rock thought to be meth.

Arthur Ray Jude, 38, of Inez, was arrested Monday in Pilgrim on possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and a bench warrant. Deputy Kirk responded to a call of possible child abuse on Maynard Flats. Upon arrival several people were on the scene. The officer says Jude admitted he had meth on him.

John Cecil Marcum, 42, of Lovely, was arrested Monday in Pilgrim on intoxication in a public place. Deputy Kirk made the arrest.

Tammie Johnson, 56, of Lovely, was arrested Sunday near Calvary Temple Church in Lovely on alcohol intoxication in a public place. Deputy Kirk responded to a call about Johnson falling on the road while walking. He says he found her lying beside the road highly intoxicated.

Michael Ray Harmon, 32, of Louisa, was arrested Friday at Warfield Park on possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and bench warrants. Deputy Kirk says Harmon admitted that he had meth in a syringe in his pocket.

Scotty Thompson, 34, of Warfield, was arrested Thursday in Lovely on a bench warrant. Deputy Billy Patrick made the arrest.

Jeremy Maynard, 39, of Lovely, was arrested Thursday in Lovely on a bench warrant. Patrick made the arrest.

Bobby Farmer, 29, of Lovely, was arrested June 28 in Warfield on a bench warrant. Deputy Tyler Lafferty made the arrest.
