TOMAHAWK — Two brothers went to jail Monday in Tomahawk after one reportedly attacked the FedEx truck with his four-wheeler.
Harvey Mollett, 52, of Tomahawk, is facing a charge of first-degree criminal mischief while his brother Randall Mollett, 62, of Tomahawk, faces a charge of disorderly conduct, second degree.
Deputy Jameson Wall of the Martin County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of an accident on Route 40 involving a FedEx truck and Harvey Mollett’s four-wheeler.
Harvey Mollett reportedly told the officer that he intentionally ran his four-wheeler into the side of the FedEx truck when the truck stopped because he was mad at the driver for possibly hitting his dog. He also said he punched the window of the truck four or five times to get the driver’s attention, to get him out of the truck, the police report states.
Wall said the FedEx driver corroborated the story.
As the deputy investigated, Randall Mollett arrived on a golf cart, jumped off and charged toward the driver.
“I had to command him multiple times to leave the driver alone,” Wall said, noting that Randall refused to remain by his cart while the deputy finished handling the scene.
