The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources, in collaboration with the Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Foundation, announced Monday the launch of the “KY Deer & Elk” app, a new mobile tool designed for the state’s deer and elk hunters.
The app provides real-time hunting tools, planning support and essential field information to enhance hunting experiences both in the field and during preparation at home.
Key features include offline maps with public land boundaries.
Navigate with confidence in any location. Interactive maps provide access to detailed public land property lines even when cell service is unavailable.
Users can build and save custom hunt plans tailored to specific counties, streamlining preparation and strategy.
No more piecing together information from multiple sources. The app consolidates information on local, verified services, including Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) testing sites, processors, taxidermists and more.
Cut down on the hassle. Hunting licenses and telecheck information are easily accessible within the app.
Information about the free app is available on the Kentucky Fish and Wildlife website (fw.ky.gov) on the KY Deer & Elk app webpage. The app is available for download from the Apple App Store and Google Play store.
