Clifford Hannah

1926—2022

Clifford Hannah, 95, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away June 30, 2022, in his home with his two loving daughters by his side.

Born Dec. 13, 1926, in Kermit, W.Va., he was the son of the late Mark Hannah Sr. and Edna (Davis) Hannah.

He loved his family. He enjoyed playing pool, watching wrestling and attending family reunions. He was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Columbus, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beautiful wife Georgia (Meade) Hannah, sisters Beatrice (Joe) Baisden, Flora Davis, Norma (Jay) Sartin and Nelma Newsome, brothers Arnold (Holly) Hannah, Howard Hannah, Mark (Alberta) Hannah Jr., Samuel Hannah, Billy Ray Hannah and William Hannah, sons-in-law Jim Thornton and Larry Mills Sr. and grand-son-in-law Chris Harper.

He is survived by his daughters Mary Ann Thornton and Nina Mae Mills, grandchildren Deana Harper, Daniel (Amber) Thornton, James (Meghan) Thornton II, Larry Mills Jr., Angela Mills and Jennifer (Jodie) Coss, great-grandchildren Amie Thornton, Casey (Conor) Baird, Ariana Thornton, Madison Thornton, Tyler Thornton, Jenna (Joe) Hoagland, Jordan (Becca) Coss, Jakob Coss and Hannah Mills, great-great-grandchildren Aryella Hoagland, Jaxon Coss, Lincoln Coss and Luka Hoagland, sister Margie (Anthony) Brewer, brother-in-law Milton Newsome and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at Neely Branch Church on Marrowbone Creek Road, Kermit, W.Va., officiated by Russell Ball. Burial was in the Hannah Cemetery. A special thank-you is extended to Mount Carmel East Hospital and Vitas Hospice. Arrangements are under the direction of Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
