INEZ — Martin County Cares and Kentucky Specialty Courts will host the Fifth Annual Swinging for Recovery softball event Saturday, Sept. 27, from 12 to 4 p.m. at the Inez Little League Ballfield.

This year’s matchup is Team Gusto vs. Team Tenacity. Expect an afternoon of fun, fellowship and hope in recognition of recovery and resilience.

Swinging for Recovery brings a day of celebration for all ages. It will feature music, food, games, prizes, art activities and messages of hope.

Organizers say the annual ballgame highlights the strength of those in recovery, the support of their families and the resources available in the community.

Sponsors include Martin County Cares, Specialty Courts, UNITE, OVP Foundation for Healthier Communities, MCCC-Serenity House, Thrive Community Coalition and Horizon Recovery.
