1947—2025

Philippians 2:5 – “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.”

Ronnie Douglas Maynard, 78, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025.

He was born April 11, 1947, in Beauty, Kentucky.

Ronnie was a model Christian and loved the Lord with all his heart. He served as an elder at Scott County Church of Christ and previously as an elder at Inez Church of Christ.

Ronnie was a simple man who didn’t hate anyone. He lived his life loving the Lord first, and he loved his family deeply. He was a veteran who was proud to have served his country. He was also an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and UK basketball.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Maynard; his parents, Vernal and Gladys Maynard; and his brothers, Danny Joe and Gary Maynard.

Ronnie’s survivors include his wife, Dolly Maynard of Georgetown; his children, Rodney (Lenita) Maynard of Inez, Anna (Chauncey) Sartin of Georgetown, Janet (Ed) Muncy of Lexington, and Deborah (Shannon) Ison of Georgetown; grandchildren, Ethan Sartin, Brent (Leighia) Sartin, Allyson (Jonathan) Hoard, Benjamin (Kassey) Ison, Ashlee Hutchison, and David (Savannah) Hutchison and his great-grandchildren, Nova Sartin, Finley Sartin, Cohen Sartin, Eleanor Shea Hoard, Liam Hutchison, and Greyson Hutchison.

Ronnie was affectionately known as “Pa” to his grandkids and their friends.

Funeral services will take place Thursday, Sept. 17, 2025, at 1 p.m. at the Inez Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Perry Cemetery on Big Elk. Friends may visit at the church from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Scott County Church of Christ, P.O. Box 261, Georgetown, KY 40324. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
