Martin County Arrest Report 6/29/22

INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s office reported the following arrests:

Jasmine D. Hale, 20, of Louisa, was arrested Monday on Route 645 in Inez on trafficking in marijuana 8 ounces to 5 pounds, first offense (complicity), driving on a DUI-suspended license, and two bench warrants. Deputy Tyler Lafferty says he made a traffic stop on Hale because her license plate illumination bulb was out, and she crossed the fog line three times.

“I could smell the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle,” Lafferty reported.

Lafferty asked Hale and her passenger to step out of the vehicle. The deputy found approximately 8 ounces of marijuana in the car’s trunk inside a white and black bag.

Kody Harless, 23, of Tomahawk, the passenger in Hale’s car, was also arrested for trafficking in marijuana 8 ounces to 5 pounds, first offense.

Casey Webb, 35, of Inez, was arrested Thursday in Pilgrim on public intoxication controlled substance (excludes alcohol), fourth-degree assault (no visible injury), and third-degree criminal trespassing. Deputy Billy Patrick reported Webb was going house to house on South Wolf Creek trying to get in.

“When EMS arrived and put him in the ambulance, he shoved the EMT out the back of the ambulance,” Patrick reported. “He went to a home on Warren G. Jude Road and was harassing the children there and refused to leave when asked.”

Cody A. Mollett, 28, of Inez, was arrested Thursday on Route 3 in Inez on public intoxication controlled substance (excludes alcohol) and criminal littering (attempt). Patrick reported that a caller complained that an intoxicated male was walking on Route 3. Sheriff Kirk made contact with Mollett, and Mollett threw a water bottle down in the ditch and threw what he said was a glass smoking pipe on the hillside. Patrick says Mollett admitted to smoking marijuana and failed all field sobriety tests.

Jordan Tyler Stacy, 27, of Lovely, was arrested Thursday in Lovely on a bench warrant from Pike District Court. Deputy John C. Kirk made the arrest.

Clayton Jude, 48, of Inez, was arrested June 24 in Warfield on a bench warrant from Martin District Court. Lafferty made the arrest.
