CITIZEN STAFF REPORT

INEZ — The sounds of gospel music will fill downtown Inez on Friday, Aug. 15, when Martin County Tourism and Recreation hosts its third and final Summer Jam Session of 2025 at Courthouse Square.

The free community event kicks off at 6 p.m. and invites musicians of all ages and skill levels to bring an instrument and join in.

Gospel music lovers can enjoy performances by The Jewell Family, IFB Choir, The Journeymen, Turkey Creek Church of Nazarene Praise, and John David Messer.

The microphone will be open for anyone who wants to participate.

Local flavors will also be on hand. Martin County Historical Society will operate a food truck and the Kiwanis Club will serve fresh lemonade.

Organizers say it is a great opportunity to celebrate music, fellowship and summer fun.
