INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s Office reported the following arrests:
Hobert Lee Newsome, 69, of Inez, was arrested Tuesday in Inez on a bench warrant from Martin District Court. Deputy Braxton McGinnis made the arrest.
Chase Hale, 18, of Lovely, was arrested Saturday on Route 292 in Lovely on public intoxication controlled substance (excludes alcohol). Deputy Tyler Lafferty responded to a call about Hale walking in the middle of the road screaming. Lafferty says he located Hale walking on the side of the road, visibly impaired.
Casey E. Webb, 35, of Inez, was arrested Friday at Sycamore Estates in Inez on public intoxication controlled substance (excludes alcohol). Lafferty responded to a report that Webb was under the influence at a residence, “busting things inside.” He located Webb outside, walking on the road, visibly impaired. The deputy says Webb stated that he had just used meth.
Robert Michael Moore, 35, of Debord, was arrested Thursday on New Route 3 in Inez and charged with operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license. Lafferty says he saw Moore driving the vehicle and knew from prior contact that his operator’s license was suspended. Dispatch confirmed, and the deputy made a traffic stop on Moore.
Bonnie Wallace, 53, of Lovely, was arrested Thursday at Pizza Stop in Inez on operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/substance. Sheriff Kirk made a traffic stop and conducted a field sobriety test on Wallace after receiving a complaint that she had driven recklessly through the Blacklog community. Wallace was taken for a blood test and transported to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
David Ray Mills, 42, of Tomahawk, was arrested Thursday on Route 40 in Inez on operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/substance. Sheriff Kirk reports Mills was involved in a two-car accident where he hit another car head-on. According to Kirk, Mills had slurred speech, failed the field sobriety test, and admitted to being on the wrong side of the road. He was taken for a blood test and transferred to the BSRDC.
Christopher Marcum, 47, of Inez, was arrested June 15 in Inez on a bench warrant for Martin District Court. Lafferty made the arrest.
Christina Mills, 35, of Lowmansville, was arrested June 15 at the Dairy Queen in Inez on criminal mischief. McGinnis responded to a complaint and found Mills with a lighter and stick of deodorant, which she was “rubbing all over the table and umbrella holder” at Dairy Queen.
