Eugene ‘Whitey’ Williamson

1927—2022

Eugene “Whitey” Williamson, 94, of Inez, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022, surrounded by his family.

Whitey was a member of Marion Hale Lodge 672 for over 60 years. He was also a devout member of the Inez Freewill Baptist Church.

Whitey is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Ruth Ann (Horn) Williamson; a daughter, Connie (Williamson) Miller; parents Willie and Gypsy Williamson; brother Edgar Mae Williamson; and sister Dot Haney.

Whitey is survived by two sons, Lon Williamson of Inez and William (Mary) Williamson of Atoka, Tenn.; a daughter, Marissa (Rodney) Côté of Inez; three grandchildren, Jared (Erin) Williamson, Katie Williamson and Michael Williamson; four great-grandchildren, Alanna Dowden, Tyler Côté, Kelsey (Frankie) Spence and Nola Williamson; one great-great-grandchild, Wyatt Spence; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, June 18, 2022, at the Callaham Funeral Home in Inez, with Kevin Davis officiating. Burial was at the Fannin Cemetery in Tomahawk, under the direction of Callaham Funeral Home.
