Rodney Paul Jones

1950—2022

Rodney Paul Jones, 71, of Lovely, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville.

Born Sept. 2, 1950, in Wise County, Va., he was the son of the late Robert and Mary Lucas Jones. He is preceded in death by a son, Christopher Lee Jones, and a brother, Ollie Jones.

Rodney was a retired EMT trainer and construction worker. He was a member of the Golden Springs Freewill Baptist Church.

Rodney is survived by his son, Ryan Paul Jones, daughter Beth Ann McDaniels, two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind a sister, Cora (Mike) Hobson, special cousin Annie Lou Wright and special friends Goldie and Dee Jude.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at Mullins Family Funeral Home in Warfield, with Sammy Ray Patrick and Bill Messer officiating. Burial was in the Burton Cemetery in Ligon, under the direction of Mullins Family Funeral Home.
