Marjorie Janet Robinson
1955—2025

Marjorie Janet Robinson, age 70, of Brushy Road in Pikeville, passed away in transport by ambulance in Allen on July 24, 2025.

Born March 22, 1955, in Williamson, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Prince and Hattie Marcum Smith.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a beloved daughter, Jennifer Ann Maynard; a brother, Aubry K. Smith; sisters Lois (Joe) Blackburn, Sarah Anne Smith and Mytrle Joyce (Morris) Smith.

She is survived by her devoted husband Hayes Robinson Jr.; her loving daughter Emily (Hans) Corban of Hebron, Ohio; son-in-law Mike Maynard; grandchildren Dalton James Hayes Maynard, Malorie Lynn Maynard, Sieri Ann Marie Corban and Sidney LoJean Corban; brothers Woody (Jean) Smith of Brushy Road and Winston (Merian) Smith of Croften; sister-in-law Wilma Smith of Pikeville; brothers-in-law Glen (Sherry) Robinson of Louisa and Harvey Davis of Inez; and loving nephews and nieces,

She was a member of the PISO Freewill Baptist Church in Varney and a devout Christian. Her family was her life.

Honorary pallbearers were Mike Maynard, Dalton Maynard, Joe Pete Compton, Nick Robinson and Billy Joe Blackburn.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, July 27, 2025, with Pam Blackburn sharing memories and word with the family and Bobby Mullins officiating. Burial was Monday, July 28, 2025, at the Henry Taylor Cemetery with graveside services.

The family would like to thank the doctors and all the nurses and staff for the great care they provided her at ARH Highlands. Janet will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
