INEZ — A two-vehicle collision Monday in front of the Martin County Government Center sent one person to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to Chief Deputy Chris Kidd of the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred when Jonathan Sherman, driving an S-10 pickup, attempted a right-hand turn from Shop Street onto Main Street and collided with an eastbound Toyota Camry driven by Brooklyn Marcum.

Sherman told officers he did not see the Camry until it was too late.

Marcum sustained non-life-threatening injuries after striking the steering wheel. Patriot Ambulance Service transported her to a hospital for evaluation and treatment.
