Elbie Blackburn
1945—2025

Elbie Blackburn, 80, of Inez, passed away July 2, 2025, at Paintsville ARH.

Born June 15, 1945, in Martin County, he was the son of the late Wilburn and Inis (Davis) Blackburn.

In addition to his parents, Elbie is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann (Hackney) Blackburn; one grandson, Keegan Moore; seven brothers, Bobby Blackburn, Watson Blackburn, Wilburn Blackburn Jr, Jimmy Blackburn, Harrison Blackburn, Steve Blackburn and Dennis Blackburn; and three sisters, Nannie Blackburn, Joann Damron and Ruth Atha.

Survivors include two daughters, Nannie Lucy Blackburn of Lexington and Rachel (Anthony) Blackburn of Staffordsville; three brothers, John Blackburn, Woody Blackburn and Jack Blackburn; and one sister, Donna Jude. Elbie also leaves behind five grandchildren, Bree (Austin) Blackburn and Brooke (Cody) Blackburn, both of Inez, Chelsey (Caden) Sexton of Staffordsville and Chloe Moore and Caylee Moore, both of Pilgrim; and two great-grandchildren, Elbie McCoy of Inez and Rylan Fyffe of Staffordsville.

Funeral services were conducted Monday, July 7, 2025, at Crum Funeral Home in Inez. Burial followed at the Damron Cemetery under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
