Deputy J.C. Kirk stopped Estep after he allegedly failed to use a turn signal while turning onto the bridge. Estep and two passengers appeared “very nervous and were shaking and moving around in the car,” according to Kirk.

Deputies said they observed open alcohol containers in the vehicle and asked all three occupants to step out.

Officers allegedly retrieved 18.44 grams of suspected meth in multiple bags, 4.89 grams of marijuana, nine and a half unidentified pills, several clear baggies, digital scales and $141 in cash.

Estep faces charges of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (more than 2 grams of methamphetamine), first-degree possession of methamphetamine, first-degree possession of an unspecified drug, possession of marijuana, no registration plates and failure to maintain required insurance.

The passengers were not identified in the police report.
