
Delfina ‘Chana’ Dillon
1930—2025
Delfina “Chana” Dillon, 94, of Stone Coal, West Virginia, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, June 28, 2025, at ARH Skilled Nursing in South Williamson, Kentucky.
She was born Aug. 8, 1930, in Rockdale, Texas.
Delfina was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother whose life reflected her deep love for the Lord and her family. She was a faithful member of Jesus Is Lord Church and a true woman of God. She loved to worship and sing for the Lord, and her beautiful voice and joyful spirit were a blessing to all who heard her. Her unwavering faith and constant prayers covered her family and were a source of strength and comfort to all who knew her.
Delfina was married to her loving husband, Arbie Dillon Sr., for nearly 50 years, just a few months shy of their golden anniversary. Their marriage was a true example of love, faith and devotion.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Arbie; her parents, Ralph and Delfina Santos; her brother, Ralph Santos; as well as other cherished family members who have gone on before her.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Arbie (Nannie) Dillon of Prichard and Ray (Mikki) Dillon of Stone Coal; her daughters, Julie (Chuck) Harris of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Arlene (Jerry) Newsome and Marcella (Alex) Justice, both of Stone Coal. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 24 great-great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, church family, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Her services will be ministered by her son, Arbie Dillon Jr. The reading of the obituary will be done by Tim Thoma. The family would like to invite anyone who would like to share a memory or kind word to do so as we celebrate her life.
The family would also like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at ARH Skilled Nursing for the compassionate care and kindness shown to Delfina and the entire family.
We rejoice knowing she is now resting in the arms of her Savior. She fought the good fight, she finished her course, and she kept the faith. She has now received her crown of life, promised to those who love Him. (2 Timothy 4:7; James 1:12, KJV)
Care has been entrusted to Mullins Family Funeral Home of Warfield, Kentucky. The funeral took place at Stoney Hill Church in Stone Coal on July 1, 2025. Burial followed at the Dillon Family Cemetery in Stone Coal. Pallbearers were family and friends. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
