
Julie White
1976—2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Julie White, 49, of Holden, West Virginia. Julie went to be with the Lord on June 23, 2025.
She was born on April 7, 1976, in Williamson to Sampson and Sandra Haney.
Growing up, she was raised on Marrowbone Creek, and she graduated valedictorian from Tug Valley High School in 1994. She proceeded to obtain her bachelor’s degree from Marshall University in 1998 with Summa Cum Laude.
Julie was a beloved daughter, extraordinary mother, wife, sister, and incredible friend, known for her kind heart, generous spirit, and unwavering strength. She dedicated 24 years of her life to being a wife to her husband, Tony White, whom she married May 20, 2001, and to being a mother to her children, Jacob White and Hannah White.
She and her sister-in-law built and successfully ran Chief’s Roadhouse in Logan, West Virginia. Julie was deeply admired by all who worked alongside her. Her passions included bringing the wants of her children to life, being a nurturing wife to her husband, and her unwavering need to fulfill everyone else’s wants and needs around her.
Julie was a member of the Little Dove United Baptist Church and she also attended Kermit United Baptist with her parents.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Sadie and Melvin Brewer and her brother, Jamie Haney, whom she loved wholeheartedly.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Tony White; daughter, Hannah White; son, Jacob White; son-in-law Dakota Wayne; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Diana and Arthur White; brother and sister-in-law, Israel and Kimberly Thompson, brother and sister-in-law, Stony and Krista White; brother-in-law, Brandon White; nieces and nephews, Brody and Carley Thompson, Austin and Ashley White, Cierra and Riley Pinson, Breanna Thompson, Mallory White, Rilee White, Brooke Haney and Elizabeth Haney. Julie was also loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and family members. Anyone who came in contact with her grew to love her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Little Dove United Baptist Church and Kermit United Baptist Church in memory of Julie.
Julie will be remembered for her warmth, resilience, and deep love for her family and friends. She touched so many lives and will be dearly missed by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Julie’s life was celebrated with a funeral service Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the Callaham Funeral Home in Warfield, Kentucky, with Jimmy Maynard officiating. Burial followed at the Family Cemetery in Borderland, West Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Little Dove United Baptist Church and Kermit United Baptist Church in Julie’s memory. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
