INEZ — Martin County will see a new summer and fall baseball and softball league for young players with games slated for August and September at Frank Horn Field in Inez.

The league, sanctioned by the United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA), is open to children from any county.

Softball divisions will include 14U and 12U, while baseball will offer 12U, 10U and 8U categories.

Zach Callaham is a primary contact for the league. He noted that he would attempt to schedule games to avoid conflicts with youth basketball and football.
