Larry Stump
1953—2025

Larry Stump, age 71, of Debord, passed away June 20, 2025, at his residence.

Born Oct. 13, 1953, in Grapevine, he was the son of the late Floyd Stump Sr. and Betty Mutter Stump.

In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by one son, Travis Carter; one daughter, Crystal Coleman; one grandson, Landon Stump; and two brothers, Gary Stump and Charlie Stump.

Larry is survived by his wife, Barbara Newsome Stump; two sons, Larry Lee Stump and JD (Trina) Carter; four daughters, Jessica (Timothy) Cecil, Sheralyn (Matthew) Anderson, Jennifer Jo Stump and Cassie Stump (John) McCormick. Larry is also survived by two brothers, Floyd Stump Jr. and Roger Stump, and six sisters, Jean Moore, Margaret Justice, Kay Anderson, Lorene Varney, Louise Christian and Alma Sullivan. He is survived by 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way. Larry will be sadly missed by all those who knew him and loved him.

Funeral services took place Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at the Crum Funeral Home in Inez with Rev. Lonnie Ratliff officiating. Burial followed at the Newsome Family Cemetery under the direction of the Crum Funeral Home.
