Lawson was recognized for his steadfast partnership with The Millard College in creating and supporting second-chance employment training programs for individuals in recovery. His dedication to empowering individuals through educational and workforce initiatives has been instrumental in advancing the College’s mission.

“The only way for organizations to succeed these days is to have people and other organizations come alongside them and help,” said Randy Stinson, President of The Millard College. “That’s what the Center for Rural Development, under the leadership of Lonnie, has done. They have made it possible for dozens of students to graduate from The Millard College. We are so thankful for the partnership and his visionary leadership.”

The Commencement Speaker was Sam Howard, owner of Trace Creek Construction. His address resonated with graduates, urging them to pursue excellence and embrace the opportunities ahead.
