INEZ — Ethan Osborne is the new head baseball coach at Martin County High School, the school announced Tuesday.
Osborne has been an assistant coach for the Cardinals and brings a wealth of playing experience to the dugout.
A five-year varsity starter at Sheldon Clark High School from 2012-2017, he was a dominant force on the mound. His career highlights include an All-District selection in 2013, a perfect game thrown in 2017, and an eighth-grade no-hitter in the district tournament.
Following high school, Osborne continued playing at Alice Lloyd College, where he graduated in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.
The coach noted that his own high school experience playing for four different coaches at Sheldon Clark is a motivator for his coaching philosophy. He hopes his roots in the community will be an asset to the Cardinals and says he is committed to long-term success.
“I hope to bring stability to the program and compete for district and region championships,” Osborne said. “I look forward to sharing the knowledge and experience I’ve learned over the years.”
He is the husband of Kelsey Osborne and father of daughter Aubrey.
