INEZ — Martin County will come alive with red, white and blue spirit July 5. A Fourth of July parade, fireworks and festivities will take place in downtown Inez.

The Kiwanis Club will lead the charge with its annual Independence Day Parade down Main Street, stepping off at 6:30 p.m.

Parade participants should line up at the Martin County Swimming Pool at 6 p.m. Organizers say everyone is welcome to decorate their vehicles, bring a float or march alongside neighbors in this hometown tradition.

As night falls, the Inez Volunteer Fire Department will light up the sky with a fireworks display from the hill behind the Collier Center.

The fire department invites everyone to enjoy the fireworks show and celebrate America.
