INEZ — Morgan Childers is the Tommy’s Auto Sales Player of the Week.

Childers is a member of the Phillies in the Martin County Cal Ripken League.

In the tournament last week against the Reds, his teammate Jonah Mills had found his way to third base with a tie score.

After asking, “If I hit a walk-off, will it get me in the paper?” Childers stepped up to the plate and smacked a hit over the pitcher’s head for the walk-off win in the bottom of the final inning for a 13-12 victory.
