Marsha Dianne Hackney
1954—2025

Marsha Dianne Hackney, 70, of Warfield, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.

Born Nov. 18, 1954 in Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Lula Bell Hick and Leory Rich.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Roger Hackney and her birth mother, Helen Tarrant.

Marsha is survived by three children, Millie (Jimson Lowe) Hackney and James Hackney, both of Inez, and Roger Hackney of West Virginia; grandchildren Twyla (Jeffrey) Staton, Brittany (Harliegh Blevins) Stacy, Jordan Stacy, Lexie Hackney, Braxton Hackney and Jamie Hackney and one great-grandchild, Taylan Staton.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at the Buck Branch United Baptist Church with Buddy Stacy officiating. Burial will follow at the Damron Cemetery.
