Martin County wrestlers bring home gold

LOUISVILLE — Six Martin County wrestlers showcased their talent at the 2025 KY/USA Freestyle & Greco State Championship this weekend.

In the 16U division, Brayden Fannin dominated and secured first-place finishes in both the Greco-Roman and Freestyle competitions at 190 pounds.

Jeremy Begley also had a strong showing in the 16U division, taking first place in Greco and second place in Freestyle.

Parker Maynard proved to be a consistent contender in the Junior division at 157 pounds, earning second place in both categories.

Kiana Chaffin earned top honors in the 12U Girls Greco-Roman competition at 102 pounds. She followed it up with a second-place finish in Freestyle.

Lukas Mays achieved double gold, taking first place in both the 10U Greco-Roman and 10U Freestyle competitions at 53 pounds. This was a new style for Mays.

Nolan Muncy also excelled, claiming first place in both the 12U Greco-Roman and Freestyle events at 135 pounds.
