INEZ — George LeMaster, a wrestler at Martin County High School, signed May 2 to continue his academic and athletic career at the University of Pikeville. He plans to study health and human performance.

The Cardinal is the son of Larry and Sheila Lemaster of Tomahawk and has demonstrated outstanding performances on the mat.

He placed third at the regional tournament and competed in the Kentucky state tournament.

LeMaster battled his way to second at the Ashland Invitational. He placed third at the Dragon Invitational and fourth at the Hatfield McCoy tournament.

LeMaster will be wrestling under a scholarship with the Bears in his freshman season.
