Billy Ray Perry, 50, of Inez, passed away May 2, 2025.

He was born Jan. 26, 1975, to the late Robert Perry and Hester Spurlock Perry of Inez.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his nieces Jayla and Gene Noel Perry and grandmother Lillian Mae Spurlock.

Billy was a mechanic at a shipyard and loved fishing and hunting.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his spouse of six years, Jackie Matthew Perry; sons Billy Ray Perry Jr (Jessica) of Milton, West Virginia, Christopher Perry (Erin) of Genoa, West Virginia, and Liam Jude of Inez; daughters Makalea Newsome and Kearra Porter, both of Lost Creek, West Virginia; two stepchildren, Todd Mathews (Stacy) of Warfield and Tara Hunt (Caleb) of Morehead; five grandchildren Zane Matthews, Juni, Tucker, Everly and Penny; brother Robert Perry Jr (Samantha); sisters Lilly Perry (Eric), Nikita Perry; nieces and nephews Dakota, Josh, Patricia, BamBam, Moira and Aurora; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral Services will take place Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at noon at Mullins Family Funeral Home in Warfield. Minister Lafe Messer will officiate. The burial will follow at Hodge Cemetery on Jennies Creek. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
