1940—2025

Carol (Delong) Setser, 85, of Fairborn, Ohio, passed away April 22, 2025, surrounded by friends and family.

She was born Feb. 1, 1940, in Inez, Kentucky.

Carol brought warmth, humor and kindness wherever she went. She and her beloved husband of 64 years, Chester, built a beautiful life together. They raised two sons, Rick (Jennifer) of Springfield, Ohio, and Tim (Tracy) of Fairborn, Ohio, as well as four grandsons, Jeremiah (Casey), Jon (Tina), Richard and Kacey. She was a proud great-grandmother to Miah, Mahala, Savannah, Trevor, JoJo and Seth. Her love for her family was unconditional and unwavering — a steady presence and a listening ear for all who needed her.

She is preceded in death by her husband Chester Setser, her parents, five sisters and five brothers.

Carol was known for her sweet voice, and she loved to sing with the band alongside her husband, son and friends. She had a knack for storytelling. Carol could light up a room with a funny memory. She had a way of making people feel at home and was a friend to everyone who knew her.

A memorial service will take place Friday, May 9, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home, Inez.
