Eillene (Moore) Patrick
1946—2022
Eillene (Moore) Patrick, 75, of Inez, passed away peacefully at her home Sunday, June 5, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
Eillene was born Dec. 28, 1946, to the late Joseph McKinley Moore and the late Susie (Preece) Moore of Inez. She was preceded in death by one brother, Delmer (Brenda) Moore and one grandson, Aaron Joseph Adams.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Patrick; two daughters, Melanie (Clyde) Adams and Vicki Patrick (Steve Hensley), both of Inez. She had two grandsons, Alex (Kim) Adams and Seth Patrick, both of Inez. Also surviving are two sisters, Diana (Jerry) Norris and Connie (Joe) Staton of Inez; two brothers, Denny (Sandy) Moore of Inez and Mitch (Brenda) Moore of Frankfort; and many nieces, nephews, in-laws, friends and extended family.
During her 34-year career at the Department of Community Based Services, she was a leader and innovator. She held many titles through the years, such as the Red Cross of Eastern Kentucky Board member, president of Kentucky State Tenure Association, Kentucky Colonel, Committee for Vision 2000 Development, president of Kentucky Health and Human Services Association, and helped develop and administered nationwide training on the new EBT card launch. She felt, though, her greatest accomplishments and what made her most proud was her role as a wife, mother, grandmother and Christian.
She was baptized Aug. 4, 2013, on Coldwater Creek.
She was happiest spending time with her family and being creative. She loved to sew, spend time in the kitchen and take her girls shopping.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2022, in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home, with Denny Ray Moore and Buddy Stacy officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain Valley Memorial Garden on Coldwater. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
