Michael H. Stroud
1952—2025
Michael H. Stroud, 72, of Lenore, West Virginia, went to meet his Lord on Feb. 23, 2025, at his home in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
Michael was born April 5, 1952, in Holden, West Virginia, to June and Ozzie Stroud.
He graduated from Lenore High School.
Michael had a successful career in driving 18-wheelers for most of his life. He drove for Walmart, UPS, USPO and Independence. He zig-zagged across America.
Michael loved his lord supremely and was very Patriotic about America.
Michael is preceded in death by his mother, June and father, Ozzie Stroud; a younger brother, Keith D. Stroud; a son-in-law, Randy Vanover; a father-in-law, Ronald Carlson; and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Jackson.
Michael is survived by his wife, Debra (Baumann) Stroud, his daughter Sabrina (Stroud) Vanover, stepdaughter Kerry Clinger, and grandchildren Lucas I. Vanover, Layla G. Vanover, Shelby Gayer and Brandon Reynolds, all of whom he loved. He also leaves behind sisters Lois Mayberry of Indiana and Joann Stroud of Tennessee, brothers Ozzie (Buz)Stroud, Indiana, Donald (Joyce) Stroud, Ohio and West Virginia, Bruce (Ronda) Stroud, Tennessee, and many loved nieces, nephews, friends, and his three beloved dogs.
Funeral services were conducted Feb. 28, 2025, at Fellowship Baptist Church in Lenore, with Rev. Roger D. Dempsey officiating. Burial followed at White-Vanover Cemetery in Bruno, West Virginia. Arrangements are by Mullins Family Funeral Home, Warfield.
