WARFIELD — Martin County Middle School 7th grade squad took on Magoffin in the first round of the Eastern Kentucky conference tournament Friday in Warfield. The Cards put up big numbers but fell to the Hornets 64-48.

Luke Preece had himself a night firing in a scorching 28 points for the Cardinals. Braxten Pack bucketed eight points for the young squad. Powerhouse Chucky Leonard and Zaiden Tackett each bucketed four points and Grayson Mollette and Brayden Hammond each contributed two.
