Several Martin County students have been recognized for their academic excellence at Big Sandy Community and Technical College, earning spots on the dean’s and president’s lists for the fall 2024 semester.

The dean’s list honors students who maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher while completing at least 12 credit hours. Cameron Harmon and Ashley Dawn Newsome achieved this distinction.

The president’s list is reserved for students who achieve a perfect 4.0 GPA while enrolling in at least 12 credit hours. Nine students from Martin County earned this honor: Katelynn Dawn Hale, Billy Tyler Ray Howard, Elizabeth Maynard, Hallie Brooke Mills, Megan McKenna Mollett, Richard Aaron Pinson, Marrisa Preece, Nicholas Darrell Waller and Kristen Lynn Wells.
