The Kentucky State Police Post 14 and Hazardous Device Unit have cleared the Little Cat Fork area of Louisa after investigating a suspicious device earlier Friday.
“We have determined that the device was not explosive and posed no threat to public safety,” the KSP release said.
The area is now safe and the public may resume normal activities.
KSP is continuing its investigation into this incident.

LOUISA – Kentucky State Police Post 14 is investigating a suspicious device discovered at a private residence in the Little Cat Fork area of Louisa.
Authorities issued a statement at 5:15 p.m. Friday urging the public to avoid the area as law enforcement and emergency personnel assess the situation.
