MCHS grapplers dominate Cardinal Duals, take third at Dragon Invitational

Martin County High School wrestlers delivered a strong performance last week, dominating the second portion of the Cardinal Duals before making their mark at the Dragon Invitational on Jan. 18 at South Oldham High School.

The Cardinals went undefeated at home Jan. 15, securing commanding victories over Belfry (54-29), Perry County (65-18), and Pike Central (59-18).

At South Oldham High School, Martin County clinched third place overall, with Jono Cline standing atop the podium after a first-place finish in the 113-pound weight class. Parker Maynard (144) and Jeremy Mollett (106) each earned runner-up honors, while George Lemaster (175) and Weston Jude (150) placed third. Jeremy Begley (132) finished fourth.

Chase Stacy reached a career milestone at the tournament, celebrating his 100th career win. He placed fifth in the 144-pound division.
