INEZ — Candace Spaulding and Parker Watts of Martin County High School are Tommy’s Auto Sales Players of the Week.

Spaulding fired in 16 points on 70% shooting in a 59-56 win over Pikeville in the second round of the All “A” tournament. She pulled down seven rebounds and dished out three assists.

In Thursday’s championship victory, she recorded eight points.

In the final minutes of a close game with Betsy Layne, she nailed a free throw that would be key in the 41-40 win.

Watts put on a spectacular display of athleticism in the All “A” tournament.

In a win over Prestonsburg, he poured in 37 points on 50% shooting. He also had three assists, three rebounds, a block and a steal.

In Friday night’s championship against Paintsville, Watts scorched the nets with 41 points. He recorded eight rebounds, two assists and a block.
