Elmer Jackson ‘Happy Jack’ Sheppard
1939—2025

Elmer Jackson “Happy Jack” Sheppard, 85, passed away Jan. 12, 2025 at home with his family.

Born Jan. 16, 1939, he was the son of the late Della Meade and Fred Sheppard.

Happy Jack was a United States Army Veteran and a truck driver for over 60 years.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother Orville Sheppard and sister Mildred Rose.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Betty; children Scott (Marla), Carolyn, and Bryan (Amanda), all of Kermit, West Virginia, and Teresa of Jacksonville, Florida; brothers Fred Sheppard and Everett Stewart; and an overabundance of family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon Friday, Jan. 17, 2025 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Warfield with Ken Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Newsome Ridge in Naugatuck, West Virginia. Friends and family may visit the funeral home Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
