Irwin Harley McGinnis
1964—2025

Irwin Harley McGinnis, age 60, of Inez, passed away Jan. 12, 2025, at his residence.

Born Nov. 25, 1964 in Louisa, he was the son of the late James and Judy (Goble) McGinnis.

Irwin was a devoted member of the Rockcastle Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, John McGinnis and Stanley McGinnis, one sister, Phyllis McCoy, and one niece, Michelle McCoy.

Survivors include Irwin’s wife, Joyce Gail (Alley) McGinnis; two brothers, Darwin (Opal) McGinnis of Tomahawk and Jamie (Kim) McGinnis of Johnson County; two sisters, Lynn (Melvin) Bowen of Tennessee and Fran (Blaine) Stepp of Inez; nephews Jeff McGinnis, Will McCoy, Brian McCoy, Scott McGinnis, Cliff McGinnis, Marc McGinnis, Wes McGinnis, Eric McGinnis and Chris Bowen; and niece Judy Ann (Stepp) Bowen.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2025 at the Crum Funeral Home chapel, Inez, with Phillip Kirk officiating. Burial will follow at the Bud Goble Cemetery in Inez. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
