Tug Valley, Martin County play both nights

WILLIAMSON, W.Va. — Mark your calendars: The 23rd Annual Hatfield-McCoy Shootout is set to electrify the historic Williamson Fieldhouse on Feb. 7 and 8.
Organizer Mark Whitt unveiled the lineup Thursday, promising 11 thrilling games across two action-packed days. Clintwood JOD Mining returns as the event’s major sponsor with Jarrod Fletcher joining Whitt as co-organizer.
This year, perennial crowd-pleasers Tug Valley and Martin County will play both nights.
Here is how the weekend shakes out:
Friday, Feb. 7
5 p.m.: Cabell Midland vs. Breathitt County
6:30 p.m.: Hurricane vs. Martin County
8 p.m.: Mingo Central vs. Lawrence County
9 p.m.: Tug Valley vs. Phelps (rematch alert!)
Saturday, Feb. 8
12:15 p.m.: Williamson Middle vs. Belfry Middle
1:30 p.m.: Mingo Central (girls) vs. Phelps
3 p.m.: Pike Central vs. Breathitt County
4:30 p.m.: South Charleston vs. Martin County
6 p.m.: Scott vs. Phelps
7:30 p.m.: Mingo Central vs. Poca
9 p.m.: Tug Valley vs. Belfry (a grand finale under the lights)
The event continues its tradition of pitting West Virginia’s finest against Kentucky’s best—a border rivalry that guarantees packed stands and plenty of bragging rights.
Tickets, priced at $10 per person per day, grant access for the entire day.
