Mary (Scott) Maynard
1962—2024

Mary (Scott) Maynard, 62, of Inez, passed away Dec. 30, 2024, at her residence.

Born July 21, 1962 in Pike County, she was the daughter of the late Jerome Jay and Bessie (Whitt) Scott.

In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by one son, Jasper Lee Maynard, two sisters, Lilly McKinney and Polly Barboza, and one brother, James Scott.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Dale Maynard; daughter, Donna (James) Gess of Charleston, West Virginia; two brothers, Johnny Scott of Louisa and Jerome Scott Jr. of Georgia; and one sister, Exie Dillon of West Virginia. Mary is also survived by three grandchildren, Madison Gess, Emily Gess and Ayden Gess, and one great-grandchild, Autumn Goodman.

Per the family’s request, there will be no services at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
