INEZ — Austin T. Jackson, 27, of Warfield, has pleaded guilty to six felony charges, including the rape of two mentally incapacitated minors in a deal that will see him serve 30 years in prison.
According to court records, Jackson appeared in Martin Circuit Court on Thursday and took a plea deal. He admitted to two counts of second-degree rape, two counts of second-degree unlawful transaction with a minor and two counts of first-degree bail jumping.
The charges stem from two April 2023 grand jury indictments that accused Jackson of having sexual intercourse with two minors, both mentally incapacitated, April 1, 2023. According to the indictments, Jackson also provided alcohol to the victims.
Two more indictments in March 2024 added two counts of bail jumping after Jackson failed to appear for court proceedings Dec. 21, 2023.
Under the plea agreement, Jackson will serve five years for each of the six charges, with the sentences running consecutively for 30 years.
His sentencing is on the court’s calendar for March 6, 2025.
For now, Jackson remains incarcerated at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center. He has been there since his arrest in April on bail-jumping charges.
