His Place Food Pantry will be open this Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon, operating on a first-come, first-served basis.

“We do have several turkeys to give away for Christmas,” Pastor Catron said.

The pantry, which intends to combat food insecurity in Martin County, operates on the third Saturday of each month. Residents need only provide their name and the number of people in their household to receive assistance.

His Place is located at 1632 Tug River Road, near the mouth of Turkey Creek.
