ASHLAND — The Martin County Youth Wrestling hosted the first KFWC Region 6 duals this weekend at Martin County High School.

With the top two teams advancing to state duals next month, the Cardinals etched their name after claiming first place.

Martin County Team 1 defeated West Carter 79-9 in the first round.

Round 2 was a dominant performance 90-6 over Greenup County.

MC defeated Boyd 84-9 in the third round and handily won against Rowan County 77-17 in Round 4.

The Cardinals took down Boyd again in the final round 79-12.
