Julius ‘Cotton’ Bowens
1961—2024

Julius “Cotton” Bowens, 63, of Hode, passed away Nov. 30, 2024.

He was born March 19, 1961, the son of the late Julius and Julie (Runyons) Bowen.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Nick Bowen and Ronnie Bowen.

Julius was a retired city worker for the town of Warfield. He was of the Christian faith.

Survivors include his son Daniel Bowens; fiancé (Stephanie) of Overland, Ohio; daughters Stephanie (Benny Joe) Fitch and Lois Bowen; five grandchildren, Lacey and Alyssa Maynard, Daniel D Bowens, Dalton Bowens and Rylan Bowens; his dog Tucker. He is also survived by brothers Darrell Bowen, William Bowen and Larry Bowen; sisters Rebecca Marie (Jim) Maynard, Ollie Mae White, Alice Jude and Glendene Hodge; companion Brenda Davis and her children David, Jeffery, Chris, Ben, Cody, Julie, Samantha; and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Dec. 4, 2024, at noon at the Vineyard United Baptist with Benny Joe Fitch officiating. Burial will follow at the Perry Damron Cemetery, Big Elk Creek, Beauty. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
