Carol Sue (Hinkle) Maynard
1961—2024

Carol Sue (Hinkle) Maynard, age 63, of Beauty, passed away Oct. 7, 2024, at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville.

She was born June 22, 1961, in South Williamson to the late Hiram and Gracie (Blackburn) Hinkle.

Carol was a hardworking, fun-loving person with a heart of gold who loved her family dearly.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Hiram Hinkle Jr. and Estil Hinkle, and two sisters, Dorothy (Edgar) Pack and Marie Jane Hinkle.

Carol is survived by her husband, Darrell Maynard of Beauty; two brothers, James (Lana) Hinkle of Sugar Hill, Georgia, and Roger (Tillie) Hinkle of Inez; six sisters, Kimberly (Jason) Warner of Lebanon, Ohio, Tennessee (Bobby Fannin) Hampton of Crossville, Tennessee, Ethel (Luther) Fletcher of Inez, Joyce (Steve) Castle of Lowmansville, Judy Thacker of Mount Sterling, and Brenda Kay (Terry) Collins of Kettering, Ohio. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Funeral services were conducted Oct. 10, 2024, in the Crum Funeral Home chapel, Inez, with Luther Fletcher officiating. Burial followed at the Warfield Cemetery in Warfield. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
