Maxine Howell
1937—2024

Maxine Howell, 87, of Kermit, passed away Monday, Sept. 30, 2024.

She was born Aug. 1, 1937, to the late John Jude and Mattie Porter.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Carmel Howell, brothers Howard Jude and Jerry Jude, and sisters Lucy Newsome and Effie Carter.

Survivors include Maxine’s son Billy Evans of Kermit and daughter Michelle (Jeffery) Parsley of Ashland, Kentucky. She had nine grandchildren and a host of family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Her favorite Bible verse was John 3:16.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, Oct. 4, 2024, at the Mullins Family Funeral Home, Warfield, with Ken Allen officiating. Burial followed at the Warfield Cemetery. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
