Shelia Kay Bowen
1958—2024

Shelia Kay Bowen, 66, of Kermit, West Virginia, passed away Thursday, Sept. 5, 2024, at the Hospice House of Huntington.

She was born Aug. 5, 1958, to the late Evelyn and Roy Runyon.

In addition to her parents, Shelia is preceded in death by nine brothers, Leeroy, Richard, Larry Joe, Lewis Ray, Chester, Charles, Cecil, Wilbur Dean, Wendell Glen and Roger Dale (Scooter).

Shelia is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Michael Bowen; one daughter, Kay Marie (Andrew Winters) Bowen of Kermit; and three wonderfully amazing grandchildren, Michael Roy Winters, James Ray Winters and Kaci Reese Winters. These babies were her pride and joy. She is also survived by two sisters, Patricia Igo and Joan (Dean) Crank, both of Kermit.

Shelia was a fighter, battling cancer for the past 17 years. Her family was her No. 1.

Funeral services were conducted Sept. 9, 2024, at the Warfield Chapel of the Callaham Funeral Home with Doc Maynard and David Bowen officiating. Burial followed at the Runyon Family Cemetery in Kermit. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
